Kicking up another stink

Two controversial votes in quick succession have caused even life-long Tories to wonder if their local MPs truly represent them.

The decision to delay action to protect our rivers and coastal waters against sewage discharges was quickly followed by the attempt to dismantle centuries-old protections against parliamentary corruption in the Owen Paterson affair. Fareham and Gosport’s Tory MPs supported the Government in both votes.
