Sewage dumping angers voters

Pollution of our coastal waters and rivers has been one of the biggest concerns raised with our candidates as we’ve been out and about talking to residents.

With many more residents taking to local watersports during the restrictions on overseas travel, voters are incensed by the frequency with which water companies allow discharges of raw sewage.

They recall angrily that Fareham’s MP was among Tories who threw out a Lords’ amendment to the Environment Bill aimed at stopping the practice.
