Hill Head

Gerald Drabble took second place in the 2022 local elections, increasing the Lib Dem vote from the 2021 contest. Gerald has lived in Hill Head for just over 20 years. A widower, he has brought up two children, who both attended local schools and local activities.  Gerald volunteers at QA Hospital on a small committee which oversees end-of-life care.

Quick work on tree risk

Gerald’s response to a resident who pointed out risks from broken and overhanging barnches along the footpath from Moody Road to Seafield Park has brought quick work from Hampshire and Fareham Councils.

Hampshire officers contacted Gerald within a day or two of his report, to say they were contacting the owners of the land alongside the path (probably the MoD, which leases land at Seafield Park to the two councils.)

And Fareham officers were out before the end of the week to deal with a damaged leylandii cypress at the entrance to the open space.
