We spoke to an NHS dentist. He told us that they struggle to retain their staff as there is no incentive to stay when private dentists are paid more with more flexible hours. This has a knock on effect on people waiting to be seen. This means that NHS waiting times are out of control. That's why we will:

✅Guarantee access to an NHS dentist for everyone needing urgent and emergency care, ending DIY dentistry and ‘dental deserts'
