Rail firms have announced plans for the mass closure of England’s ticket offices. They want to shut almost all of the 1,007 offices except the busiest stations within three years.

Our Rail ticket offices, are a lifeline for so many passengers - particularly those who are elderly or disabled, or tourists supporting our local economy.

Our local stations - Fareham, Swanwick and Portchester - are vital to the health of our town.

We all want a modernised, upgraded railway, but any changes have to work for the most vulnerable too.

Fareham Lib Dems are calling for these plans to be stopped and for our ticket offices to be saved.

Public transport should be becoming better and more accessible, not losing services.

Support the campaign by signing our petition today.

Portchester's Councillor Chrissie Bainbridge. left, and Park Gate Lib Dem candidate Gayathri Sathyanath collected signatgures for our petition at Swanwick Station.
